Pondhawk. Captured in the MAGLEV trainyard impact zone proposed for USDA public lands outside of Washington D.C. Erythemis simplicicolis to the taxonomists; death from above to the insects on the Research Center, where it hunts them down in low level flights in and around vegetation, gathering them in its legs and eating them alive. Will no longer occur at this site if the trainyard is built. Captured by the entomonewologist Danie Phan. There is an eeriness about this picture.
