All'inizio non ero sicura se pubblicare questa fotografia, finché la mia gemella ha sentenziato: "Ehi, anche le lettrici hanno le mestruazioni!" Se anche voi vi commuovete guardando un video di un bambino che abbraccia un cane e poi volete pucciare il vostro cane nella crema alla nocciola e mangiarlo, vi capisco. Sono molto fiera di questo acquisto che segna un piccolo traguardo per me: non solo perché, come diceva uno di nome Gandhi, dovremmo essere il cambiamento che vogliamo vedere nel mondo, e il cielo sa quanto il nostro mondo ne ha bisogno, ma anche perché essere donne non deve e non può essere un problema e che se ne occupino solo le donne. Gli assorbenti lavabili sono più delicati sulla pelle di quelli commerciali, sono esteticamente bellissimi, non inquinano il pianeta e sono un sostegno economico non indifferente (volete davvero spendere 800 euro di usa e getta in 10 anni?). Parliamone al Parlamento, che magari sarebbe giunta l'ora di togliere la tassa su una cosa del genere, che magari gli uomini non sanno il disagio che molte donne provano nel parlarne, che il sangue è ciò di cui siamo fatti e non è sporco, è naturale. Poi, siccome la quarantena mi è servita a ricordarmi che sono una signorina, su @friendlyshopitalia ho acquistato una bellissima spazzola per il microcircolo delle gambe e un dischetto in bambù e cotone per il viso, io che con la pelle ho sempre avuto problemi. Non perché voglia essere bella secondo un canone prestabilito, ma perché voglio voler bene al mio corpo. Tabu to play courtesan in ‘A Suitable Boy’ adaptation - The actress has now signed up to do Mira Nair’s screen adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel titled, A Suitable Boy. Tabu is back to work after taking a long break. The actress, who has been choosy about what she wanted to do, is now signing on projects at a quicker pace. The actress has now signed up to do Mira Nair’s screen adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel titled, A Suitable Boy. Written for the screen by Andrew Davies, the series for BBC will also star Ishaan Khatter. “Tabu signed the project not just because she was getting to reunite with her The Namesake director Mira, but she loves the character of Saeeda Bai — the courtesan from Vikram Seth’s novel. This is also the first BBC series that is being made without a single British actor in the cast. Ishaan has been signed on to play the role of Maan Kapoor,” a source said. The surprise addition to the cast is 22-year-old newcomer actress Tanya Maniktala, who was earlier seen in a web series, Flames. Tanya will play the role of Lata Mehra. Mira had wanted a big star to play that role, which somehow did not work out. “The role of the young girl at the heart of the story will be played by a major Indian movie star but I can’t reveal her identity right now,” the filmmaker had said in May.
