They could be sleeping on their sides facing away from each other in their two beds, and half an hour passes and one of them suddenly remembers something the other did and finds a way to turn it into a comeback and they're like, 'AND ONE MORE THING'. Omg
OMGggggggg YESSSSSSS THIS IS CANON I DEMAND IT BE SO
Violet getting angrier and angrier the quieter it gets, thinking of everything, thinking of her siblings and her parents and the Henchmen, and the infuriating man across the room, and then all the sudden Olaf speaks, and it just makes fury shoot out of her eyes, and she shoots back something witty and Olaf is quiet for a minute.
And then all the sudden he goes “Fair point.” And then silent, and Violet is staring at the ceiling and quiet even longer and finally goes, “And the music wasn’t even that good. You call that a musical? Why do you do Funcoot’s plays, they’re terrible-”
“You’re terrible, Orphan.”
“Your entire troupe is terrible, and your acting is even worse. Why was the Australian accent even necessary for a musical about the Dust Bowl? It was terrible. The music was terrible - your character was terrible and not flushed out. He had no driving force other than your own insufferable ego.”
And then Olaf’s quiet, and thinking about it for a minute. “So, no accent. Change the character-”
And it just goes back and forth until they actually get somewhere and rewrite one of “Funcoot’s” plays and make it amazing. And then Olaf ruins the moment and the cycle continues.
