She's the ruler of the Moon CanineDragons and is therefore one of the few Caninedragons in the world who has access to magic, in this case, Moon magic (which is ice and water), with a goal to have control of the other magic sources (Sun and Sky).
She's manipulative and a powerful magic user. Probably most knowledgeable character about magic and has been carefully limiting that knowledge for decades. She's vain and loves being the one to finish things but recognizes she's far better off calling the shot, than taking them.
At the current point in the story she's successfully committed a coup against the Sun Kingdom, by gaining the trust of the aristocracy, and planting multiple puppets gaining enough political power to have access to their magic source and took over. Selene has about 3/4s of the whole Sun kingdom under her rule and in a war against the remaining Sun citizen and the entirity of the Sky kingdom, lead by ex prince Helos and Queen Aria (not sold of them having royal titles but they help get their positions across easily)
Why does no one talk about the Sanders Sides meeting their Shorts versions? Aka the guys they were based on? Because they’ve become so incredibly different since the series first started.
Prince is an airhead and also straight.
Anxiety/Villian is just perpetually done with the world and also seems to be really good frenimies with Prince?
