" but it was one of those things easier said than done , a little hypocritical to come from him when he could barely look at kasey for more than two seconds. he could lie and pretend that they had been nothing but friends for the sake of kasey's secret while they were around everyone else , but tj couldn't stand the silence between them once they were alone — their friends finally on the dancefloor after letting it slip that tj had been seeing someone. and maybe he wanted a reaction , wanted to see if kasey even cared about this brand new attempt at moving on. but mostly , tj just wanted kasey to talk to him again. the game had been a mess, hence their loss. between several penalties and another full on fight, the first thing he did when he left the ice was to find his teammate. "you alright?" a gaze that was normally stone cold softened a bit as they met the familiar features and the strong digits of his hand grasped onto the other's shoulder. "you played well, kasey. — next game will be ours."
