train M647 runs South after being stopped by X512 in Smith Siding which is just north of these photos. in the lead is an uncommon nowadays C40-8W all these engines were in storage just until recently due to how power short railroads are anymore. This train on the CSX CE&D Subdivision works its way north. After hearing this train pass “North Decker” after catching L364, we made our way to North Vincennes near Quabache Trails Park. North Alice
A Phosphate train heads back North to Canada after venturing all the way South on the CSX system. This spot is called North Alice on the CSX CE&D Subdivision, as just after the photo is shot there is a small yard used for L364 and its name is Alice Yard. Illinois Subdivision
On a trip to Vincennes, Indiana to photograph some trains, I stumbled on the radio a local L364 making a routine run to Washington, Indiana on the Illinois Subdivision. The Illinois Subdivision is a former Baltimore & Ohio Route that formerly went all the way from Baltimore, Maryland to East St Louis, Illinois this route is not what it formerly was mostly due to the lack of traffic on the entire route. photos taken in Vincennes, Indiana on March 5th, 2023.
