🙌 - What accomplishments is your MC most proud of?

Vincent is proud of making an honest living for himself and his family. I’m still not sure what he does, but after spending much of his childhood as a pickpocket on the run from the law, he’s incredibly proud of spending the rest of his life on the straight and narrow. (Plus, he handles his pickpocket urges by lifting things off Brianna, and then their children.) He’s also low key proud that he was never caught and thus, never received any of the harsh punishments of the Victorian Era.

Vincent is also proud of the family he made. He’s proud that Brianna agreed to marry him. Out of the people in the world that Brianna could have been romantically involved with, she chose him, a royal bastard with a penchant for stealing. Vincent is also proud of their two children, Nola and Rourke. He admires everything about his family.

👑 - Is your MC an enjoyer of fancier, finer things, or do they enjoy simpler things?

Orla enjoys both the finer things and the simpler things. It just really depends on what it is. She was essentially raised in the same vein as gentry in poverty, so she’s made due with a lot of simple things that are meant to look like the finer things. Her number 1 finer thing are fine pairs of pajamas and robes.

🫣 - What is your MCs biggest regret?

Oof, what doesn’t Cillian regret? He’s spent many long years trying to find who he wants to be. Cillian’s true self is buried so deeply, behind walls and walls of self preservation and emotional repression, that even he doesn’t know where the mask ends. But, ultimately, Cillian’s deepest regret is the death of his brother. He may have held deep seated hatred of Tadhg, but Cillian never truly wanted his brother to die. It’s a regret that he lives and dies with… at least in the canon timeline.

🧑‍🏫 - Who is your MCs favorite teacher?

Tadhg’s favorite Professor is probably Professor Matilda Weasley. He might end up in her office for troublemaking reasons, but he’s always admired the transfiguration professor. She’s probably the one who told him that he should look into cursebreaking for a career.

😭 - Most traumatic thing for your MC?

The most traumatic thing in Niamh’s life occurred before she was born. Her elder brother, John Patrick, died from scarlet fever at the age of four. While her parents weren’t irrevocably damaged by the loss of their eldest child and only son, the loss of John Patrick haunted the family. Niamh could always feel the loss of her brother. John Patrick Kelly always remained a member of the family.

🕰️ - What’s your MCs backstory?

Born on October 4, 1875, Vincent Augustus George Fitzroy was the only child born to Prince Peter Augustus, Queen Victoria’s (fictional) cousin, and his favorite mistress, actress Eliza Turner. He had no memories of his mother and never met his father, but Vincent grew up with a mouthful of a name meant to invoke the royal family. However, Vincent spent most of his childhood living on the streets of London and working as a pickpocket in a gang. It wasn’t until his Hogwarts letter was delivered that Vincent realized that his ability to slip away from the authorities was magic.

👾 - In modern day, what would your MC be like?

Modern Brianna is very much a sweetheart. She keeps to herself and runs a curated instragm meant for her friends only. Her family is still a train wreck and the stain of living beyond their means, but she’s closer to her twin brother and older sister. More than anything, though, modern Brianna is moving to find her way in life and make everything so much stronger.

born on october 4, 1875 as the only child of queen victoria’s fictional first cousin and an actress, vincent grew up on the streets of london. his mother had died of childbed fever and his father hadn’t been compelled to identify a bastard child, even one that he’d had with his favorite mistress. as such, vincent isn’t even sure what his real name is. growing up on the streets taught vincent that being guarded and not open to “soft” emotions ensured survival. he grew up ignoring some of the weird things that had happened to him, like wallets being drawn to his hand or being able to leap onto rooftops when being chased. it didn’t do a young boy on the streets much good to get too much attention. and then came the letter to hogwarts. vincent was flabbergasted as he didn’t fully understand everything, but hey, if it meant a warm bed and food everyday, vincent was cool with it. upon starting hogwarts, he was sorted into slytherin where he roomed tiernan o’rourke junior amongst others. vincent had always intended to keep his guard up. he just hadn’t expected to meet brianna o’rourke, who slowly wiggled her way into his heart and made it her home.

The first time Georgiana Crane saw Lucas Wivenly was at a Bridgerton Ball, hosted by Georgiana’s Uncle Anthony. Lucas, a viscount in courtesy name, was the heir to the Sedgemoor earldom and was expected to attend. He had no impression that anyone would show interest in him, beyond the rumors of his illiteracy.

Lucas had chosen a simple black frock coat, black trousers, a standard white shirt, a blue plaid waistcoat, a navy cravat, and black boots. He’d chosen his attire based on comfort and flying under the radar. He’d already been getting enough attention thanks to a gossip column spilling that he was illiterate and that he would have been expelled from Eton if he wasn’t the earl of Sedgemoor’s son.

The first time Vincent Fitzroy attended anything fancy, it was a variation of the Yule Ball. He’d never been to anything fancy before and was determined to impress. Especially the lovely Brianna O’Rourke. She was amazing.

Vincent had gone with a simple deep green dress robe, over a more muggle outfit. He wore a black waistcoat over a white shirt with black trousers. He wore heavy black boots, which weren’t exactly the dressiest but Vincent had spent his money on the dress robes instead. He’d chosen the dress robes as someone else had instructed him to. The muggle outfit was because Vincent felt more at home in muggle attire.

3.) What parts of themselves do they tend to hide?

Ophelia tends to hide the part of her that feels sadness and grief and the like. She doesn’t like people to see that she’s hurting, especially after losing her two men. Her brother, Eugene, was one of the only people that she let see how much certain things affected her. In addition, Ophelia sometimes hides her more feminine side which is a result of her father never being around much and his occasional insults about having a daughter.

7.) What emotions or situations do they try to avoid? Why?

Vincent tries to avoid a lot of different emotions. It’s mostly a coping mechanism from growing up on the streets and being a thief. He found quickly that emotions and emotional attachments were a liability. There was no use to them as they just got him in trouble. It starts to change a bit after Brianna O’Rourke attaches herself to him and they become friends, but he struggles to let himself show his emotions.

Vincent also tries to avoid situations where he could be taken advantage of. As a young child, newly on the streets, Vincent was taken into a gang and used as a beggar. He was small and cute, with a hint of royal features, and that made him the perfect beggar. He stayed with the gang for a few years before he managed to break away from them, but he felt like they had never actually given him much.
