meet valerie waters! valerie and indi have been friend’s since kindergarten. they did everything together, inevitably becoming best friends. valerie comforted indi through her later teen years, and she encouraged indi to take up yoga and writing in a journal.
meet vincent mesa! vincent moved from selvadorada to oasis springs in first grade. the moment he saw indi his stomach was filled with fluttering butterflies. throughout the rest of elementary school, vincent continuously tried to impress indi. although indi would tease him, they became very good friends.
meet mateo rivera! indi, valerie, and vincent met mateo in their first year of high school. mateo, valerie, and vincent got along well, but there was this tenseness between mateo and indi. this tense relationship stayed the same throughout high school, but now mateo wants to make up for the lost time of this friendship.
