TW: ABUSE, RELIGIOUS TRAUMA, HOMOPHOBIA
Vincent Morris is the older of two sons, his little brother named Billy Morris (another one of my OCs). Their father was a devoutly religious man and was an alcoholic and would often take his anger out on his sons. Their mother got tired of the abuse and left their father, and the two boys never saw her again. This made their father become even more cruel, and Vincent and Billy became each other's comfort and the only good thing they had.
As Vincent began to enter his teenage years, he quickly discovered that he wasn't attracted to women at all, and he would talk with Billy about it as Billy was his safe space. Well, their father heard them talking one night, and the abuse only got worse for Vincent. His father used religion as an excuse and a way to instill fear in his son simply for his sexuality.
Then the Germans came, and Billy was on the rosters to be taken away. Vincent wanted to do what he could to protect his little brother, but he couldn't do much before Billy was placed on one of the trains and taken off to Germany. Vincent had his one light taken away, and so he left home, living on his own for a while before becoming a Constable as soon as he could.
In his early hears of being a Constable, he was paired to work with Constable Horus Hunt (another OC of mine), and the pair quickly grew to be close friends. Vincent then began to grow attached and develop feelings for the other, but rather than being honest with himself, Vincent suddenly began to grow hostile and mean towards Horus, telling Horus that he would never amount to anything.
Vincent soon got promoted to a white rank Constable while Horus only got promoted to a red rank, and Vincent rubbed it in Horus's face, further dividing the two of them.
Vincent was then assigned to work at the Labs underneath Dr. Verloc, but he often does other tasks around the town where he's needed.
Vincent is mean and sadistic and filled with bitterness. He often abuses his authority and enjoys having power over others.
The ironic thing is that most of his bitterness is due to his brother being taken, but Billy never made it to Germany. Unbeknownst to Vincent, Billy had snuck off the train and made it back home and was living on the streets for a while. Billy is very much alive and is in the same town as Vincent, but Vincent wouldn't recognize him now and Billy is on Joy.
