A knight to remember. (VincentxJoel.)
Sorry it took me longer than needed; I’ve been really busy with studying and stuff cuz highschool is a bitch, so…yeah sorry about that 😅
Genre: I’m not even sure tbh. 😂 Though Imma put it out there, this might be a liiittle bit suggestive js. 😂
Summary: AU where Joel is a prince, and Vincent is..well..a knight. Not very different then, huh?
(Third person point of view.)
Another night, another ball..it was all getting very repetitive, wasn’t it? Every time, Joel would be asked to dress neatly, behave properly, engage in conversations, partake in dances, and try to keep his bluntness on the down low. Joel hated almost all of it. Why would he have to pretend to like people he never even met before? He wasn’t very good at communication either, so his “engaging in conversations” never really went as planned. He either talked too little or said the wrong thing to offend everyone. By now, his father had given up on scolding him for it; it was no us; he couldn’t change it.
There was a bright side to this situation, however. Recently, Joel had learned how to escape it all. He was able to sneak past all the guests and his father. Of course, he couldn’t sneak out for the entire ball; he’d get caught, so he had to keep showing up at the ball every once in a while, but for the most time, he’d be wandering all around the palace.
Tonight the ball was rather different. Usually, they were made for useless reasons that Joel wouldn’t bother remembering. Tonight, the ball was made to celebrate the knights. An enormous number of young, visibly strong men were present, and you could see all the maidens gushing over them. Actually, scratch that; some married women were also eyeing the knights from time to time. Joel rolled his eyes.
The Prince waited a little longer for more guests to arrive before he could leave unnoticed. Groups of giggling girls came to greet him every once in a while; he smiled and greeted them back.
After several encounters, he decided it was time to make his exit. Nobody spotted him leaving. Or so he thought. He had caught the attention of a specific red-headed knight. Why was the prince himself leaving the ball? The knight couldn’t help but wonder. Was it okay to go check on him? It should be fine.
The knight excused himself from the crowd of people he was conversing with and followed the prince outside the ballroom. He could see the prince making his way down the hall. He felt like some creep, just stalking the poor guy like that, but it was sort of suspicious after all, wasn’t it?
Their brief journey ended when the prince stopped in the middle of the garden at the back of the palace. “Are you done following me?” Joel spoke with an uninterested tone, not bothering to turn to look at the knight, a few feet away from him. “Uh..sorry.” He stepped closer to the prince while scratching the back of his head, before bowing deeply.
“Why is the prince leaving the ball?” The knight managed to ask, as he straightened up after a few moments of silence. “‘Who are you?’ Would be a much more important question, wouldn’t it?” Joel looked at the taller man. “Oh, yeah, I’m Vincent Knight, your majesty; I’m one of the knights.” Vincent bowed his head lightly.
Joel chuckled, “You’re a knight whose last name is knight?” Vincent noticed the prince’s amusement, which made him smile. “Well, guess it was fate, huh?” The knight joked. “Maybe so.” The prince smiled in response before looking back at the dark sky.
“Well? Do you have that much free time? You’re just gonna stand there staring at my back?” Joel looked at him with a teasing smirk, “Um, haha, sorry, your majesty; I’ll be on my way.” Vincent’s cheeks flushed as he bowed and rushed back into the palace.
On his way back to the ballroom, Vincent could only think of the prince. The way he smiled, the way he chuckled, and even the way he teased him about having a lot of free time. An idiotic grin had found its way onto Vincent’s face without him noticing. He had to stop thinking about it. That was a prince while he was just a knight. The prince was merely being nice to him; it didn’t mean anything, right?
Soon enough, the knight found himself in the middle of another crowd, where he seemed to have caught the attention of a young lady. He couldn’t say he felt the same. There was nothing particularly wrong with her; in fact, she seemed very kind, but Vincent’s mind couldn’t help but drift elsewhere.
“So..do you..do you happen to…maybe..like someone?” The girl asked nervously, as she fumbled with the purse in her hands. At that moment, Vincent realized the prince had rejoined the ball. Their eyes met for a few moments before the prince looked away.
With slight disappointment, Vincent looked back at the shorter female looking at him with hope in her eyes. “Uh..well..yeah, I do.” Vincent glanced back at the prince, but this time he wasn’t met with the beautiful pair of mismatched eyes; the prince had his back turned to Vincent.
“Oh..” the girl looked at the ground. “Is she here? I want to see her.” She looked back at Vincent. “N-..that’s..well..” Vincent tried to find any excuse, but all that came out was incoherent nonsense. He was only saved by the announcement of a dance.
He somehow managed to set up his friend with the girl; there was no way he was going to dance. He never did, and he never will. This was too much for his dignity.
Was the prince dancing? Vincent found himself scanning the crowd, trying to find the guy that seemed to never leave his thoughts. He was nowhere to be found. Did he leave again? Why does he keep doing that? His question was left unanswered last time.
The knight found himself approaching the exit of the ballroom. He looked down the hallway, and he could see a faint light coming from a door near the end. He hesitated before taking a step towards it. He kept walking till he reached the door; it was the only one that was left slightly open.
Vincent slowly pushed the door open to peek inside. A library. A huge library. He could see a figure standing behind one of the shelves. Without thinking, he approached the figure. There he was. The prince was standing there with a book in his hands. “Is it your hobby to stalk people or something?” Joel didn’t even glance towards the knight; he just closed the book, put it in its place, and picked another.
Vincent immediately bowed, “I’m sorry, your majesty; I was just-” he tried to apologize, but he was cut off before he could finish his sentence, “Joel. Just call me Joel; I dislike the unnecessary formalities.” Joel stated while putting another book back in its place.
Vincent stood up right, and kept observing Joel, as he browsed through the shelves, seemingly trying to find a certain book. “There you go again with the staring.” Joel raised an eyebrow at him, “Are you just that weird?” He smirked. “Hey, I’m not weird!” Vincent defended, “You’re stalking a guy you never met; that counts as weird.” Joel argues, “I wasn’t stalking anyone! I was just-” Joel cut him off, “You were following me twice. That counts as stalking; do you want a dictionary?” Vincent just sighed in defeat. “I don’t know what I was doing; I got curious.” He tried to explain himself, “Mmhm..what? Did you perhaps start crushing on me? Is that it?” Joel teased. He didn’t know he was quite right..and Vincent wasn’t gonna let him know. He’d probably just get mocked for it, wouldn’t he?
“Why do you keep leaving the ball anyway?” Vincent changed the subject. “Well..let’s just say I have more interesting stuff to do.” Joel proceeded to look at the book titles on the shelf, in search of that specific book. “Like what? Reading?” Vincent mocked, “So, you don’t like reading?” Joel stopped to look at him, “Nah, I’d probably fall asleep half way through the first page.” Vincent shrugged. “Figured.” Joel looked him up and down before driving his attention back to the books.
Vincent groaned. How does one even get the attention of such a cold prince? Well..he might have had a possible answer.
“Is reading really that fun to you?” Vincent approached the smaller boy, “It’s the most fun thing I can think of doing at the moment.” Joel replied. He seemed to notice that Vincent was much closer now, but he shrugged it off and tried to walk to a different isle, but he was stopped by Vincent pushing him against a wall. Vincent used one of his hands to pin Joel’s hand above his head, and he let the other trace Joel’s side. “Well..” Vincent whispered in the prince’s ear, “What if I told you I knew of something more fun to do..?” He smirked.
“And what could that be?” Joel raised an eyebrow challengingly, “You can see for yourself.” Vincent aggressively pushed his lips against Joel’s. Joel moved his free hand to the back of Vincent’s neck, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss. Vincent let go of Joel’s hand and used both hands to lift him off the ground and hold him against the wall. They only broke the kiss when they were out of breath.
“That’s more fun, huh?” Vincent grinned, “Pfft..that wasn’t the most fun! That comes in fifth at best!” Joel averted his gaze, trying to hide his embarrassment. “I’m not done yet anyway.” Vincent shrugged, “I’ll have you admit it’s the most fun thing you can think of when I’m done.” Vincent stated confidently as his hand slid beneath Joel’s button up shirt, “I’d like to see you try.” Joel smirked before they pushed their lips together one more time.
…yeeaaahh Imma just censor the rest 😂😂
Vincent: Hey, Joel, look, I’m melting butter. Joel: That’s great, Vincent. You now have the cooking skills of a hot day.
Anyone need a hero? 😏

Lazy day. (VincentxReader)
In celebration of the sequel that I'm quite enjoying.
Genre: you guessed it. Fluff. I love fluff just deal with it.
Summary: When you try to get out of bed, but your fiancé just won't let you.. can't relate.
(Second person point of view.)
The sun rays lightly seeping through the closed but pale-coloured curtains, your eyes fluttered open at the unfamiliar brightness of the previously dark room. The curtains would be practically useless on a sunny, summer day, but for now it wasn't bad.
It was that time of the year where the sun is just...there...not really keeping you much warmer or anything- just brightening up the streets. It wasn't very cold outside, but it certainly wasn't warm either.
You looked over to your left to see your fiancé fast asleep. His face was pressed against the white, fluffy pillow, so you could only see about half his features. You giggled softly before planting a kiss on his forehead.
Taking a few moments to savour the warmth of your bed and covers, you noticed it was 8 a.m. already. You carefully moved to the edge of your king sized bed, trying your best not to wake up the male sleeping blissfully next to you.
"Where are you going?" A voice grunted from behind you.
You turned to face the man, who you thought was still sound asleep. "Vincent? You're awake?" You smiled.
"No." He mumbled, burying his face deeper into the pillow, "Where are you going?" He repeated his question from earlier, this time his voice muffled by the pillow.
"I'm getting up?" You leaned on your elbow, still facing Vincent, who hasn't even opened his eyes yet.
"Nooo.." he whined and slowly opened his eyes. He was squinting, but it counts as something, right? "Just come back to bed." He lifts his arm upwards, motioning for me to snuggle up to him.
"It's kinda late though.." you try to reason with him, but he wasn't having it. "So? It's our day off." Lowering his arm, he finally opens his eyes properly to look at you; however, he still keept his face buried into the pillow.
"Vincent, it's 8 a.m. already." You chuckle, as you move strands of his hair away from his face.
"And that's exactly why you should come back to bed." He replied. This time he wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you closer to him.
"Vincent, it's time to get up!" You giggled, while uselessly trying to move out of his tight embrace. "It's not." He disagreed and started burying his face in your neck, making you giggle at the tickling sensation.
"Come oonn. Let me get up." You plead, but he doesn't budge. "Please stay." He pouts as he looks up at you with puppy eyes. "You can't manipulate me into staying!" You laugh.
"Fine." He grumbled, and just when you thought he was gonna let you go, he moved his upper body and layed his head on your chest, hugging your waist tightly.
"V-Vincent?" The heat started rising to your face, "Now you can't leave." He chuckled proudly.
"Idiot." You sighed. There was no use trying to get up. He really wasn't gonna let you go.
Therefore, you just ended up relaxing and enjoying the comfort of your bed and your soon-to-be husband.
You wrapped an arm around him and used your free hand to play with his hair. Running your fingers through his hair, a smile couldn't help but form on your face...and little did you know a smile was plastered on his face too.
Subconsciously, you found yourself slowly moving your fingers down to his face, caressing his cheek. A light shade of pink started forming on your cheeks when you noticed your mindless actions, which made you stop and let your hand fall to the mattress.
"Why?" A groggy voice mumbled. "Why what?" You had an idea of what he meant, but let's pretend that wasn't the case. "Why did you stop?" He looked up at you with curious eyes. "Oh. Um..uh..well.." you averted your gaze, to which he laughed lightly.
He slowly lifted himself up and moved his face closer to yours, "You're cute." He grinned before planting a kiss on your cheek.
You expected him to get back in his previous position, but instead he moved his entire body on top of you. A hand on each side of your head to support his weight, he grinned at you devilishly.
You stared back at him with wide eyes, not sure what to expect.
Vincent slowly lowered his head and started kissing along your jawline. He paused to look at you with a smile, "I love you." He breathed, "I love you too" you barely managed to whisper before he sealed your lips with his.
You knew neither one of you would be getting out of bed any time soon..
