some married chayenzo headcanons
vincenzo likes to be the one who cooks on the weekends. cha young doesn't mind as she likes keeping the house clean. so they work in tandem in the quiet hours of the morning. coffee is made, dishes are washed, they talk about everything and nothing. but that doesn't last long because she flashes him a quite smile, one she keeps for him, and pretty soon he's weak in the knees and somehow they're kissing against the fridge, his coffee long forgotten. he smiles, as much as he claims to not like 'sewage water', it does taste pretty sweet on her mouth.
work is busy like always. they sit across the table, their hands somehow always find their way to each other. they try to limit the pda but sometimes it's subconscious. mr nam is used to this by now. so are the tenants.
but they do throw chayenzo a suprise anniversary party. they play games like every game night, eat dinner that chef toto promises he didn't make. gets many many heartfelt gifts from the tenants, they feel lucky to have a family aside from each other.
they go on picnic dates and to parks often, just so they don't drown in the monotony of their jobs as much as they love it. they try all kinds of food and fight about their history and cha young swears she'll finger flick him to the next planet. vincenzo smirks accepting defeat, we know how that always turns out.
there are random pictures on their fridge. which started as a joke. when cha young moved in she bought the old pictures her dad had hung up of her, she couldn't seem to discard it. vincenzo puts them on the fridge as a joke, he claimed that she looked adorable. as revenge cha young began hanging candid shots of him. some minor hacking and phone stealing takes place. soon it was filled with morning selfies, the tenants faces, and somehow the family portrait of V, her and his mom right in the middle.
not all nights are calm. some nights she gets up, her chest pounding and the whole world crashing down on her, the weight of everything she is and everything she's become. she doesn't wake vincenzo, he rarely gets sleep anyway. and it's the same way around too. but on the off chance they do wake up at the same time or wake each other up, they don't speak of it. they sit by each other, hold each others hand. letting each other know that they're there.
the drinking sessions still continue from time to time. vincenzo keeps buying new wine to try. sometimes cha young insists they slow dance at the wee hours of the night. he obliges, when he can ever say no to her. so they dance to the music in the TV, stepping on each others toes, giggling furiously and screaming at each other.
somewhere along the way they get a puppy, cha young wows to protect it with her life. vincezo tries to give it a complicated name that makes no sense. CY claims that the name sounds like curses stringed together and just calls her 'darling' dramatically while she chews all of v's shoes. somehow it becomes her name.
there are days, he wonders how he got so lucky. he sees her skipping around, their wedding band on her finger. he makes sure she knows, knows that she's loved. and cha young loves the way he tells it. she especially likes how he whispers sweet nothings into her ear in italian. oh she makes sure to give as good as she gets.
cha young doesn't exactly like waking up butt early in the morning but doesn't like to stay in bed without him by her side. so she crawls out of bed and finds him quietly cleaning or washing the dishes, and wraps her arms around him, bed head and all. he doesn't even need to turn anymore. he kisses her forehead and looks around. and sees that darling the puppy doesn't appreciate domesticity that doesn't involve her, so they usually get attacked all morning.
