Soooo after much consideration and revamping, I've decided to upload my own self insert onto Tumblr~! Everyone, say hello to the main self insert I use for legit ALL of my favorite waifus, Vinea aka Kamen Rider Mahou Zi-O~! I'm also open to constructive criticism so if you guys have any critiques or questions, let me know~!

History
A young man who was forced to become a Kamen Rider during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that he's graduated high school, he's devoted his live to protecting as many people as he can. He often stays up late to get some work done, watch anime, or play games. Despite his hard-working attitude, he's incredibly lazy by nature and often likes to relax in his room or just do whatever's on his mind. He's made a vow to protect the flow of time and events of the multiverse that belongs to the media he loves, always trying to keep things on track. As much as he would love to visit and chat with the characters he loves, he's made a vow to never interact with them and continues to be an observer, no matter how much it pains him. In the beginning, he often called himself "Kamen Rider Zi-O" as an homage to the Rider he got his powers from until he finally decided to make a name for himself. By combining Maou (Demon King) and Mahou (Magic), he began to call himself "Kamen Rider Mahou Zi-O" as an homage to the Rider he loved the most, and the one who started his journey.

Personality
Vinea is a very kind and honest young man who's always wanting to make people smile. He's a huge nerd for a bunch of media he enjoys like Kamen Rider, card games, magical girls, and other genres. He always does his best to help people whenever he can with or without his powers while also having a passion for dramatics and surprising people whenever he can. Although he is a god, Vinea would rather embrace the small things that reminds him of his former humanity like his constantly picky body temperature or retaining injuries and letting them heal naturally. His genuine love for his favorite media is often a double-edged sword as he can detail the story of any franchise and go on long tangents about them, but often has to restrain himself from interacting with his favorite characters due to his oath of being an observer and warning them of their intended path. When he was younger, he would often become arrogant and proud of his abilities until he had to be knocked down multiple pegs in order to get to where he is today. Due to his line of work, Vinea has long since discarded everything that had made him feel alive; his friends, family, and given names have long been discarded which has left him to live in his own bubble universe in the middle of the time stream, away from human contact. To him, Vinea and Mahou Zi-O are all that is left for he has no story to tell. He will never talk about his past unless it is with someone he truly trusts. Those people will finally learn his true name: Mao.
Appearance
Mao is usually seen with jet black hair that's slightly long in the back that stops halfway towards the end of his neck and bangs that slant sideways towards the left. He has short sideburns, and his skin is a slightly light tan. His eyes are a darkish shade of brown with a tint of orange and often wears glasses with a blood red frame. He's got a very generic outfit that isn't very fashionable, but is very simple which consists of (usually) a white shirt, a very dark indigo blue jacket, khaki or navy long pants (depending on his mood), a black belt with a gold frame, white socks, and (usually) white tennis shoes. He's also seen wearing a lavender purple necklace, and three rings (all of the stacked on his middle finger) on his right hand which present the nations and clans he's bonded to the most in Cardfight!! Vanguard (those clans being Pale Moon, Link Joker, and Angel Feather). He's also often carrying a purple shoulder bag purse with a Kuromi design on it. When he was younger and used his powers, his eyes would often glow blood red and his hair would often glow into shades of blood red, gold, and silver grey due to him being unable to control his power. As he grew older, he's able to control his power which has turned his blood red eyes to a shade of dark lavender purple.

Abilities
Vinea is a very decent and amateur cook, and can play the violin and viola. When it comes to strength, he's a very average fighter and mostly just does what he can to get by. Since he's become a god, Vinea is able to do almost anything but it always takes a huge toll on his psyche and body temperature. The longer he uses his powers, the colder his body will get and the more his head hurts (which is often why he wears his jacket). His powers are dependent on his mental and physical health; if it isn't up to code, he won't be able to perform at full power (which is most of the time since he neglects his needs when working). Since he has the power of all Kamen Riders like Oma Zi-O, he's able to summon their ridewatches and use their power as his own as well as transform into said respective rider, but a small symbol will be left somewhere to signify it's not the original rider.
Forms
Way too many to count here due to his ability to transform into any rider, but the main forms he uses relate to Zi-O and Wizard. His final form consists of the Oma Zi-O ridewatch combined with the Wizard: Infinity Style ridewatch. Won't describe the suits cause it's not really important right now.

Author's Note
Let's get this out of the way. Yes, I understand Vinea seems like a Gary stu AND BEYOND edgy. But...that's kinda the point. Back when I first made him, I didn't really intend to have it be that edgy but just wanted it to sound cool or something and was merely using him as a template for every single self insert I needed. For me, it was always "have a generic self insert template that I can use for everything and work on lore later". Plus, I made this story during the pandemic where the main character (aka Vinea) was a huge Kamen Rider nerd who would use his powers and knowledge to defend the flow of time before sacrificing his mortality to permanently be a protector like in uh...well- Persona 3 (if you know what I mean). As for why Zi-O was chosen...the little kid me just wanted to have the powers of all Kamen Riders and was deciding between buying a Decadriver or a Ziku Driver as a kid. The hair colors in the 2022 one were also references to my favorite Vanguard clans. Angel Feather is gold, Link Joker is silver, and Pale Moon is red (I chose red to reflect one of my favorite cards, Luquier, since one of her eyes is red and it glows when she's using her powers). Now, I REALLY wanna talk about that age thing- as I've stated in one of my bandori posts, I've always viewed my self inserts for my favorite waifus as a route like in a visual novel. This, however, does not make each version of the self insert the same in the media I enjoy. It depends on how old I was at the time when I first had those childhood crushes and would age my self insert to be the same age as them. Examples include-
- Staff Vinea from BanG Dream! - Aged to be 15-16 when he was dating Chisato Shirasagi before she graduated high school
- Captain Vinea from Honkai Impact 3rd - Aged to be 16 when he first dated Seele Vollerei (she was 16 during the beginning of the main story but I often just use Captain Maou as the main one since I don't really use Vinea for Honkai)
Like I said, I aged myself up when I was a kid in order to be as close to their age as I could because- well- childhood crush and stuff. This aging stuff only applies to my childhood crushes. If they are legal, then they get to deal with 18 year old Vinea.
SPEAKING of 18 year old Vinea, I merely chose that age cause as a kid, 18 was the magic number for me lol.
Jeez..I really hope none of this aging stuff makes me seem like a creep or a pedo- I will state this again- most of my waifus are childhood crushes (Seele technically isn't cause I was 15-16 when I first started Honkai) so I had to age my self insert up to be the same age as them. I will reiterate once again though that all of my self insert Vineas are not the same. They are just the default self insert I use for all of my stuff so I don't mix Kamen Rider lore. Kamen Rider Vinea is the self insert for the Kamen Rider lore. Staff Vinea is the self insert for the BanG Dream! lore. Captain Vinea is for Honkai Impact 3rd, and so on and so on. There's also the fact that not all versions of Vinea will be the same for the self inserts- Depending on the media, Vinea could have a different personality or just a more highlighted trait of said personality. For example, Kamen Rider Vinea isn't usually very shy and nervous, but the BanG Dream! one is shy and nervous (specifically since he's talking to so many big shot bands and he's afraid to make a bad impression in front of them) while Captain Vinea for Honkai Impact 3rd is CONSTANTLY worrying about everyone on the crew whether it be from his friends, the gear, other workers, etc and since he's the Captain, he wants to make sure everyone is mentally and physically okay.
