Get ready NYC, mix-master Zorra is in town. • • Bodega Viños La Zorra is located in the Sierra de Salamanca D.O. Spain near the Portuguese border. This is the land of the indigenous varietal Rufete, a small, thin skinned variety that offers up more floral than fruit notes. • • The “La Zorra” Cuvée is a 50/50 blend of Rufete and Aragones (local clone of Tempranillo), sourced from a 70 yr old vineyard planted in slate/clay/granite soils at an altitude of 800m. • • The grapes are hand harvested, fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeast, allowed to go though full malo-ferm, followed by 9 months of aging in a combo of French and American oak. The wine is bottled unfiltered/unfined. • • Aromas/Flavors:violets, rose petals, plum, currant, red berries. Medium-body, decent tannin, long finish and crazy acidity...probably from the Rufete! • • #vinoslazorra #lazorra #rufete #tempranillo #salamanca #spanishwine #demaisonselections #nycstreetart #wine #vino #winelovers #winetasting #wineoclock #winelife #winetime #winenight #wines #wineo #wineporn #winenot #winestagram #sommelier #redwine #wineoftheday (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpE4kCchrrh/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=oh6pfc4sg04e
