YESSSSS UGHHHH I STILL LOVE THEM SO BAD unlike my other Vinnie ships vinpat is heavier on Patrick's side for me.....the way he talks to Vinnie on the phone... the way he's so desperate to hear him talk back but VINNIE PHYSICALLY CANNOT..... I often feel as if it was Slenderman keeping Vinnie from actually having someone who can understand him, probably a punishment for Patrick too .... they'd be so doomed especially w how Patrick feeds slenderman and how desperate Vinnie is to get away from slenderman and they're BOTH UNWILLING IN THIS WHOLE SITUATION THEY'RE STUCK IN ... yeah.... here I am losing myself but I LOVE THEM SO BAD

also not only all of that but it would piss habit off so bad HEEELPPPPP HE GENUINELY WOULD LOSE HIS MIND TO LOSE VINNIE TO PATRICK OF ALL PEOPLE

YESSHSHSH they're literally everything 2 me, they're so real.

Not only are the canonically parallels to each other, they are literally just so perfect for each other, especially after everything they've both been through.

When they talk on the phone Patrick basically showers Vinnie in compliments and tells him he's doing a good job and basically that hes gonna hate seeing Vinnie fail because he just likes Vinnie so much. He's even jealous of Vinnie, Vinnie forgets everything while Patrick is left to suffer with memories.

What Patrick doesn't understand is that Vinnie is jealous of HIM, Vinnie wants to remember, he wants to know. He NEEDS to know. They balance each other out like that.

They're both so desperate for someone to understand them and love them and care for them and they'd be perfect to do that for each other, they have the same exact needs and wants. Vinnie would be able to be himself and he'd be so loving towards both Patrick and Michael and he'd give them the attention they've been so desperate for. And Patrick can offer Vinnie protection and kindness. He'd provide Vinnie with a gentle love, one that Vinnie never thought he'd get.

Patrick is the only person to actually know EXACTLY how Vinnie feels, Patrick understands Vinnie in ways no one else ever could. Slenderman haunts them both in the most horrific ways which is the one thing that'll most likely keep a strain on their relationship. While Vinnie is slendermans favorite, (said by Patrick himself), Patrick is not that liked by slenderman I feel, and it'll definitely cause some issues for them if they attempt a romantic relationship, seeing as slenderman gets jealous.

Another thing keeping them apart would most likely be habit, he can't risk Vinnie finding someone who would be better for him. The way Patrick is desperately begging Vinnie to please answer his phone says so much to me, Patrick has been trying to warn him, he's been trying to keep Vinnie safe and I wouldn't doubt if there was someone interfering with them so it made it more difficult.

Patrick genuinely seems to like Vinnie alot, he seems so comfortable with talking to him, out of everyone Patrick has talked to, he is the calmest with Vinnie, he barely even acts snarky at all and it's so OUWHSHSHS idk. And it sucks that Vinnie was stuck in a haze because you know he wanted to thank Patrick and ask him so many questions.

And Patrick would never judge Vinnie for killing Shaun, he'd understand, he knew Vinnie did what he had to because Patrick has killed people because it's what he has to do. They're willing to DO ANYTHING if they have to.

Patrick also has a line, "Maybe in another life... you and me...can get out of this" which just feels a lot like maybe in another life they'll actually get a chance to be together. In my heart Patrick has been yearning for Vinnie for a very long time but he has yet to find the life where he actually gets to be with him and its so devastating for him because he knows Vinnie understands him, he just can't reach out.
