i wanted to share this kickstarter project by an artist i really adore! i found Martha Hegarty through our love of Twin Peaks. a picture of her Laura Palmer pin on her instagram page led me to check out Mink, her little superstore full of pin and product designs that evoke such a unique, whimsical charm, like flipping through an 'I Spy' book. she really puts it best in her own words: "high quality objects that are well-designed without sacrificing playfulness. Something between a boutique and a joke shop". this wallet is the ultimate manifestation of that. functional, chic, and the perfect modern rebirth of kitschy vintage compacts. it makes me so happy to see that someone still cares about making everyday items fun to use and to look at.
