Today, it's my wine certification course tasting of three wines! . First wine: Terra Alpina Pinot Grigio 2019. Gently pale gold in the glass. Aromas of orange and butter, plus something...red? Crisp, dry, good acidity. Little to no sense of the alcohol. A fair bit of butter, then lime zest. Second wine: The Dude 2018 Chardonnay. Warm gold, not too deep, in the glass. Butter, lemon, and a trace of floor wax on the nose. Rich rush of aromas in the first sip: citrus, less butter, honey. Nicely balanced. A little zing of alcohol to keep it interesting. The mouthfeel ventures closer to richer than lighter. This one's from Marlborough, naturally, and the first 2 oz of which I spilled on my laptop keyboard. Finest trace of gold in the glass. Very sweet nose, almost like bonbons. First sip is grassy and full of grapefruit. Crisp and clean, though, and minimal sensation of alcohol. Mouthfeel is quite light. So how do the numbers compare over the last 15 years? 

You see the total enrollment submitted to the CHE with the blue line. 

Notice how the total undergraduates pictured in the Vintage (red) and the total full-time undergraduates reported to the State (green) are fairly similar. But the difference between those has never been quite as stark.

The blue line, however, is a liar. That’s not where the big tuition dollars will come from.  So how do these numbers affect the bottom line?
