Very early 1961 Rickenbacker 345 Capri has landed. The features on this one exist for such a short window and sparingly few were made with the deep Capri body, mono input, and patent pending Ac’cent vibrato. Another beauty from the @chriswstringer8 sessions: 1966 #Rickenbacker 330-12 in a lovely warm #Fireglo finish, for a grey and rainy late-November day up here in Canada. . I always wanted a vintage Ricky but they are fairly rare and hard to find here. Maybe rare everywhere? Rics have never been mass produced on the same enormous scale as #Fender or #Gibson, and have never been produced overseas as budget copies, so numbers have always been relatively limited. The few I have seen in person, including this one, have been just beautiful though. #RickenbackerGuitars feel totally different from any other #guitars I have tried. Maybe it's the neck shape? . As always, Chris' 1957 #FenderPrinceton is doubling as the #guitar stand here. People have really responded positively to this amp every time I have posted it! A rare 1968 #Rickenbacker #4001 for #thumpinthursday, spotted at @capsulemusic #Toronto. This is 1 of only 83 #fireglo 4001 models made in '68 and it's in fine condition! . PS: I know there is at least one more of the eighty three 1968 fireglos in Toronto, because I consulted my bass bible (@geddyimages's #BigBeautifulBookofBass) to learn more about the 4001 and saw that Geddy also has a '68 in fireglo in his collection (see page 220). Of course Geddy also has a '68 in mapleglo. And a '64 in fireglo. And a '69 in fireglo. And a '68 in burgundyglo...now that's gotta be even rarer!.
