Here’s some sketches!!
My heart is broken. I idolized Will Vinton when I was a child, his claymation (he invented that word) of the California Raisins, the Mark Twain movie, they inspired me. In animation school I was lucky enough to take a class from him and learn directly from him! To be taught by someone with an Academy Award, whom you idolized from childhood, who was so humble and kind... He even liked my work! I felt so lucky to learn from him! He was an amazing man and I can't believe this happened. I'm just heartbroken. My heart goes out to his family and all the people be who I know worked closely with him for so many years. What a huge loss for the animation community. I feel so blessed to have known him, if only for a short time. He will be forever missed, but his work will have changed the art world forever. 💔 #willvinton #claymation #portland #oregon #myhero #animation #clay #vinton #californiaraisins #heartbroken (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bom-GasnPAj/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=15h912hjc7ys9
