Can’t Resist This Cute Face | Vinvee
@sportylikeatuna
There was nothing quite like a bright, sunny day to put an extra bounce in Vee’s step. After their first gloomy, chilly week in Swynlake, the bright blue sky, puffy clouds, and mild temperatures were a welcome change. Even if they came along with a throbbing headache. It was a vampire thing. She knew she should probably hate the sunshine, but she didn’t. It was too bright and cheerful to turn away from.
“Can you believe our luck, Wolfie?” Vee asked the tiny black and white shih tzu trotting happily beside her. “A brand new pet spa opened the very week we came to town! You’re going to have the best time! And you’ll look so cute when they’re done with you! Who’s the prettiest girl, hmmm? Who’s the cutest doggie?”
Wolfie gave a little “yip” and an excited jump, pawing at Vee’s knees until she stopped and scooped up the dog, laughing. “Ok, ok! Yes, we all know its you. Ah! Here we are! Ruff to Fluff Grooming. Let’s go get you all nice and clean!”
With Wolfie secure in her arms, Vee pushed open the door to the shop, smiling at the cheerful bell chime tinkling overhead. Glancing around she took in the tidy shop laden with helpful pet items---from sparkly collars to gourmet treats to luxuriously plush pet beds and everything in between---her eyes caught movement behind the front counter where someone was hunched over.
Smiling widely, she crossed the shop with Wolfie, chirping cheerfully, “Hi there! This is Wol---oh!” she froze when the man straightened and she got a good look at his face. Suddenly a bit uncomfortable, she tried to continue, “Er--hi, um, Mr. Vinny. I didn’t know this was your shop! Um--I don’t remember. Did you get to meet Wolfie before you left?”
And just as a reference, Wolfie looks like this:
