I ♡ taking care of old objects .

Restoring old packaging for vinyls , dusting them off gently , playing them for ( maybe ) the first time in years , and watching closely as they sing for me to make sure they don't break ... It's so beautiful . To me .

rambling about underappreciated objects in the objectum community: part one

guys, y’all are REALLY sleeping on vinyl records and CDs.

everything about them is breathtaking.

vinyls… the artwork when you open the cover, the intricate ridges in the record itself, the way it shines when the light hits the vinyl.

delicate, fragile, elegant…

the color of the record, no matter what it is, the light will always shine beautifully on it.

i’m excited to work at the library again and being in charge of cleaning the CDs and DVDs. i could stare at the way the light refracts on it for hours.
