Balancing on the edge of a panic attack, Bakugou invites Kirishima over for a session - and has to face the overwhelming emotions inside his heart, realizing it is not a job anymore. 

"I told you to stop", he hissed. "With that bullshit."

"What are you talking about?", he was confused, his lips still bruised from their kiss.

"I asked you to come here for a session not to fucking pamper me. Now do your damn part and take what you paid for", he spat out, voice scorched by the rage inside of him, the tone enough to cause Kirishima to flinch. Frustration broke inside him. Why didn't he understand? After all this time, he still didn't understand Bakugou needed him to play his role, so he could finally let go. His body was trembling so hard, he wasn't sure if he was already falling apart. He must see it. So why didn't he grab that damn rope, so his palm could mend him back together in the end?

modern AU KiriBaku, explicit!, office worker Kirishima & sex worker Bakugou

This fic is set in an alternate universe with no powers where Kirishima and the others are around their mid-twenties. We follow Kirishima's POV, who just got a promotion at a prestigious law firm and is way too absorbed in his work and single for the liking of his friends, so Kaminari and Co. kidnap him into the nightlife of Musutafu, where he meets Bakugou, whose scorching personality sets Kirishima ablaze after feeling numb for years.

There is a lot of smut in this work but the fic also revolves around pining and romance later on and generally is about Kirishima's character growth and him finding his place in a world where he feels he doesn't belong. Or rather, about Kirishima finding worth in himself with the help of Bakugou, who learns what it means to find worth in others.

But also...shameless smut. Lots of.
