Barley Meows: Talking about Smudge in My fish out of water AU

Fish out of water is an au where clan cats are Fish Cats! (so basically Mermaid cats) there is also two legged/ Fourlegs. Twolegged/Four Legged cats (the reason i said Twolegs/Fourlegs is because this AU can be feral or anthro) are seen as dangerous to the clans there’s a lot of horror story’s about Twolegs/Fourlegs capturing Fish cats and hurting them. The main Fanfic focuses on Ravenpaw and Barley’s relationship (Ravenpaw is a fish kitty) he meets Barley one day while wondering the beach/island

Ravenpaw’s father forbids him from going to the surface but Ravenpaw becomes sick of his dads shit and rebels and go’s to the surface. (Lmao literally two kitties in love) But anyway I’m going to talk about Smudge in this post! • What is Smudge’s role?

Smudge lives on a ship with his Aunt Violet Uncle Fuzz and Aunt Sasha in this au! (Violet x Fuzz x Sasha anyone 😏) Smudge is the son of Snake and he is very small (he’s a Ragdoll munchkin mix!) he loves learning about fish and enjoying sailing:) he’s also friends with Fireheart/Star! he always had a fear of Fish cats because of what his aunt Sasha had told him about them she told him that they were dangerous. So when Smudge met Firepaw/Heart/Star he was nervous poor thing lmao. he likes fishing and observing the fish with his Aunts! his uncle fuzz is funny. Smudge also enjoys watching the birds with his aunt V. He isn’t really a major character he just shows up occasionally

I like the idea of Smudge being Barley’s nephew. In my rewrite Smudge is the son of Hoot ( his mother is probably and unknown cat) he stayed with Violet after running away from Hoot. Barley didn’t know that Hoot had a kit until a bit after him and Ravenpaw got together. Violet probably told Smudge about Barley and Smudge wanted to meet him. So one day Violet visits with Smudge not far behind Barley is confused until Violet explains Smudge is happy to be meet him and Ravenpaw they have some nice family moments together :3 (I’ll probably write a fanfic about it lol)

also I should clarify in my rewrite Hoot and Jumper / Ice and Snake are born in a separate litter then Violet and Barley.
