I just... still can’t even fully process Rise being cancelled. And all though I’ve been taking part in all the campaigning that’s been going on, I just have this awful feeling none of it is going to matter. That’s not to say people should stop doing it, we want to have the best odds in this. I just hope that if nbc doesn’t pick it back up, than maybe another network, seeing the devoted fans for this show, will pick it up for a season 2. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this strongly about a show. And fortunately a while since I’ve had something like this happen. I’m really trying to be optimistic, but just seeing the cast members’ posts about saying good bye is just making me feel more distraught. I know this all seems dramatic; that I’m making a huge fuss over some tv show. But it’s one I feel is extraordinarily important. Countless people have already talked about the show’s diverse cast and it’s exploration of the various characters experiences, and although things have been slowly bettering over the past couple of years, things like transgender representation are still few and far between and I feel the best way to show that these kinds of stories are good enough to be shown on screen is by supporting shows like Rise. I know this whole thing is kinda a mess, but I needed to get my thoughts out there. Rise is just too good a show to lose this easily. I can’t stand it being thrown away by nbc without a second thought.
the ever-so-chaotic Bell-Picaso household: Samuel (Contrary/Picaso) Bell, his wife Alexis, Samuel’s alien daughter Ruth Picaso, the twins Liam and Lukas Bell, the twins Justice and Cameron Bell, and Violet Bell...feels appropriate to mention that Alexis is expecting her THIRD set of twins...and that’s why I moved Tyler and his siblings out of this household
introducing the Bell “triplets”: first we have Jordan, who was adopted and brought to live with her new family the day the twins, Caleb and Joshua, grew up into toddlers :3
