Owen is the step mother to Scott's gaggle of fledglings. He is vampiricly related to exactly 0 of them (Pyro and Apo are Scott's direct fledglings and both Cleo and Shelby are Pyro's, making them Scott's grandfledglings) and yet he holds authority over them. Owen is Scott's defacto back up as the second oldest of the group and also his main collaborator on big things (they plan together and then everyone executes).

I also love the way Owen immediately told Apo to get down from the wall and help (desecrate the beacon) and that Apo's one of them whether they like it or not. Yeah Apo refused but it's the spirit of the scene that gets me (you're part of this family now do your chores).

I love how the dynamic of Scott and Owen has evolved and spread to the others in this way. He sounds so tired of not having help around here and his husband keeps having fledglings without telling him.

Normally when I get a new temp hyperfixation it's like when you find a new fav song and put it on loop for three days. I'll read a crapton of fics and be ill about it for a bit but in the end it's just a ship I like or a show I hadn't watched in a while.

This time around it's just: *circus music starts playing* "He's right behind me isn't he?" *I turn around and Gay Luigi is standing there with a steel chair*

Chatting with @st0rmyskies about Hyrule Warriors: Imprisoning War reminded me how BADLY I want for Warriors to be canon or to at least SHOW UP in a Hyrule Warriors game again and no, not just as an outfit/skin. That honest to god dramatic bitch with his eyeliner, I WANT HIM. They are missing out on a goldmine here. I mean, just imagine it. DLC for Imprisoning War, Zelda calls upon friends to help them defeat Ganondorf. She tries to call on Link but the lines get crossed. Cutscene starts. The portal is glowing. We see a Link-shaped friend standing in the doorway. Boots hit the ground. The camera view shows a shot of a sky...and then Warriors's FUCKING SCARF FLUTTERS INTO VIEW.

PEOPLE WOULD DIE. I WOULD RIOT. Nintendo bring me BACK MY BOY! HE DIDN'T DEAL WITH CIA JUST TO BE FORGOTTEN!

notebook pages!

A while ago I made a post showing the notebook I've been using for writing in when I'm away from my computer (I don't have a laptop or a tablet and I haaaaaaaate using my phone for anything, let alone writing). A lil update re that notebook: I like it! I especially like that the pages are thick enough to withstand the 0.7 gel pens that I love. I bring it to work and, though I don't often get to actually use it, it's nice to have around.

Every once in a while I type up the handwritten notes in my graveyard (they're not graveyard-worthy, exactly, but Axiom Nexus shouldn't be a super long story and I don't want a million .docs so that's where the typed up stuff is going)

Fri the 13th! Hehe. Trying to get in a quick writing mindset for the last 6 min of break. Next ch- MB meets SW & R, and Skyw gets away. Establish char pr fast, maybe SW is out so R drags him by a foot. Lol. Nah. Winds up with tentys and slings him up. Carries him, follows Prowl to an HQ of sorts. MB will get a rm way too big lol. Maybe when P asks him for entertainment he'll supply some TC movies. MB could learn a lot, quickly, from watching a few shows. Maybe connect to other fics. Ok back to work.

Another 6 min to write. Need more from [redacted: spoilers] need to make each scene accomplish at least 2 things. Also keep timeline in mind. MB is MC so it should be the one to [redacted: Axiom Nexus spoilers]

You can see the ideas I've taken for the fic. Originally was gonna have Soundwave arrive knocked out and Rodimus would drag him by a foot to the rooftop exit. That is funny, but I decided to change it to Rodimus winding up the tentacles and hauling SW up, so that Murderbot knows about the tentacles right away. I note that Murderbot will get a room that's way too big- I didn't go into details, it's the overall idea I wanted to jot down. Details can come when actually writing. I also mention Thundercracker's movies here, though that didn't get put into the story until a few chapters later.

There are also some pages noted from one of the books. I haven't done as much referencing to Murderbot's biology as the canon does - I should, but at this point, I'm striving more for "having fun writing" than "perfect writing" - so I can go back and reread these examples if I want.

Writing by hand probably isn't for most but I really enjoy it if I don't have access to my desktop. Highly rec the notebook if you're looking for one! (I linked to it in the linked post above)
