" --- you smell like a scream. it's very... high-pitched." [ and no, he doesn't mean ice-cream, though it could have been misheard as such. this guy, he smells like wordless noise. the old Cheshire doesn't quite know what to make of it. ]

" --- and your shadow is a lie... takes one to know one. but i like your eyes." [ they're such an intriguing shade- violet. if they're contact lenses, they're very realistic. ]

He does flinch (ONLY A LITTLE) from the sudden appearance of the blade, elbows lifting like ruffled feathers as he stares at it. Where'd that even come from??? But the look of surprised quickly dissolves into something a little more smug.

"Ya wouldn't need ANY money? Really? Is that yer way of callin' me priceless?"

The boy curiously looked at the man as he could see the dry blood in their hair, wide eyes stare as a faint memory hazed in his mind as he pulled away.

He shook his head before hearing the man speak, the boy could sense something otherworldly but he couldn’t figure out what as he would then reply with a timidness in his voice.

“…I’m s-sorry Sir as I didn’t mean to approach, I just noticed dry blood on your head and thought you were hurt.”
