Apple pie, missing shoes and too many cocktails
13th September.
So yesterday I had a very small piece of an apple pie that was temptingly sat in the fridge, and ended up having rather more than I meant to. I told my boyfriend despondently that I’d failed my diet, so he jumped up and got me running up round and round the garden. I did 50 laps of the grass, 50 star jumps and 2 min 30 seconds of plank. I think it really helped. Whilst this was happening, the dog ran away with his shoe, disappeared behind the shed and then re-emerged, minus the shoe. He had to hop around on one foot in the undergrowth trying to find it while I finished my laps. Then I took him out to meet some friends as a pre-birthday surprise, and it turned out rather more drinksy than I was expecting - I had low cal drinks mainly whereas I would usually choose beer, but had quite a few and then some garlic bread to try and settle my stomach (I get awful indigestion from drinking due to my IBS, and I never learn from experience!). But I woke up surprisingly un-bloated this morning and still motivated; an early start as Connor and I went to work in the warehouse, pretty hard work all the day and then walking around town afterwards. So today I allowed exercise to be included in my calorie count as I went above the 1200 mark - a yoghurt for breakfast, a salmon and cucumber sandwich, a home-made pumpkin cupcake, six sour pastilles, and then later in town I was really hungry so I had a babybel cheese, a bag of quavers and a strawberry and banana smoothie. Then out for dinner (once again intruding on family meals that aren’t my family) and I had a fish pie, and then a mini greek yoghurt chocolate torte and an espresso afterwards. Also I had the last teabag when we got home :)
