I miss Clementine already and yes I did not avoid spoilers so I wasn't entirely surprised by how things ended, but I definitely suggest it especially with the steam sale.

This is purely self indulgent but fuck it I’m combining my hyperfixations. I’m cringe but I’m free.

Clementine and Will parallels!!!!

Also I totally recommend TWDG it’s a great game and not just about zombies. Like how ST isn’t all about the supernatural.

ANYWAY

Both of these characters go through the WRINGER. And they both are only just kids😭

In Season 1 of both seasons, Clem and Will aren’t exactly the MAIN character but they do drive the plot (finding Will and protecting Clementine). Will spends a week in the upside down surviving monsters. Clementine spends days in her tree house surviving monsters. They both are natural survivors from a young age. Castle Byers and the treehouse do have a similar purpose. It saves them. Will sings in Castle byers while Clem uses her walkie talkie. Both comforts. Near the end of both seasons Will and Clem are rescued by their parental figures.

In season 2, they BOTH go through it here. Clementine sews her own arm up and gets shot at ELEVEN. And Will gets possessed and burned alive at THRITEEN. My poor children😔🥀 we explore more of their struggles then in the first season and really get inside their heads.

In season 3 for Clementine and Will they are both sidelined. Both season 3’s are considered the worst season too…..huh I wonder why. Clem is a lot different than Will here and is seen as a total badass but both are pretty isolated this season. This goes for season 4 Will too. Nobody is really protecting them anymore so they have to fend for themselves. Both of them also explore their romantic side of things with Gabe and Mike. Gabe is obviously more of a crush but Will is in love with Mike.

In season 4 of TWDG and season 5 of ST, Will and Clem are back to being front and center. Clem is growing into her leader role and Will is growing to accept himself. There is also a lot of parallels to their season 1 selves with another character who is younger than them (Holly and AJ). Also I’m pretty sure Clem is the same age as Will here? Idk I just find that interesting. Clem and Will face their past in this season too with Vecna and Lily. Vecna and Lily are both trying to take kids for their own selfish desires. Clem and Will try to stop them but they get captured. I also want to include that BOTH of them are LGBT with Clem being bisexual and Will being gay. Will’s feelings for Mike are explored and Clem’s feelings for Violet depend on the player. (Personally think Vi is more compatible with her like Will is for Mike…..the whole mileven v Byler and Clouis v Violetine is VERY familiar….yesssh) ANYWAY towards the end of the season Clem has a fakeout death but she lives! It was theorized that she would die since it’s the last season but she beat the allegations! I think Will totally will beat them too….but perhaps with a fakeout death as well.

In the end of Clem’s story (the comics don’t exist😀) she finally gets her happy ending after all she’s been through. Surrounded by friends and possibly a love interest. If she can get this ending Will can too. I know he will TRUST.

I know some of these parallels are a STRETCH but hell it was fun. If you know both the game and tv show you are goated.
