roses are red, violets are blue or?
roses comes in many shades,
most of the shades are on the spectrum of white to red.
why it is so?
it’s because cultivating different shades of roses is one of the main hobbies in human flower cultivation,
as we were all taught as children by mumins friend,
whose passion is cultivating different shades of roses.
most violets have at least some off these colours,
blue, white, purple, yellow or black!
most famous in my corner of the world
is the violett of the step-mother, the styvmodersviol,
in english sometimes called the wild pansy.
the step-mothers violett is purple, yellow and white,
there are much folklore about of the origin and symbolism of this flower, and its tricolored petals,
this every swedish school kid know!
english is not my native langague,
so i could not be bothered to rhyme in this langague that is foreign to my tongue.
But one hopes,
That my humble attempt at poetry can be off joy to more people than just me!
