  Dear Lucy,

We’ve been living with you for six whole months now. It’s been amazing watching you and your brother and sister grow. We can’t believe that when we got here Violet and Caleb couldn’t even sit up. Now, they get into everything, including our bedroom. We want to highlight for you a few of our favorite times with you:

At Halloween time, you refused to wear your little bo peep costume for trick or treat (you were embarrassed). But when we finally got it on you, you didn’t take it off for days.

For your Christmas present, we brought you to build-a-bear. We had so much fun making your teddy bear with you, and couldn’t stop laughing when you insisted we named it after your friend’s mom.

We took you to atomic so your mom could have some time alone. you got so upset when we couldn’t get you a cupcake. We had to explain to you the concept of money that afternoon. When your dad came home from work, you ran to him and asked him if he made enough money to buy you more cupcakes. You are so funny.

Caleb and violet both reach their arms to the sky when we say the words “SO BIG!”. You love to ask them “caleb/vi, are you soooo big???”

Our kitchen dance parties to Banner will never, ever get old.

You give us so much joy.
