Virge Rant #1

So i was just sitting in my art lecture hall today. When this other student, will not name names, straight out insults an art piece of mine. I felt awful to the point that i willingly went up to him and asked what was wrong with it. He straight out says that it had too much emotion behind it and that he didn’t understand what i was trying to portray through it. The piece we are talking about is a nature piece with half of the painting being healthy and the other half being of a dying forest. After staring at him for a few seconds i ask “What does it mean to you?” He then rolls his eyes and says something about art should only have one meaning and no other. I straight out said “Its a good thing you are in this class.” Was it a jerk thing to say? Yes. Do i care? Not. At. All.

After i say this he takes one dangerously close step to me and asks if i was joking and if i just called him stupid. At this point i had that weird tingly feeling that i was i trouble. So i took a careful step back and turned on my heel to leave. He grabs me by my hood and began to insult me. I was frozen and couldn’t seem to make my body move. Thankfully this one kid who i have talked to on occasion comes over and pulls me away from him. This is a huge thanks to that kid. It reminded me that not everyone is a piece of crap... anyway thanks for listening to my rant. I’m okay rn but i barely got past a panic attack and I’m just cuddling Amaya. Virgil, out.
