They were beasts the likes of which he had never seen, but as more and more fell beneath his silver blade he realized that some laws were universal between worlds. What did the people of this world call these creatures? Demons? They were similar to wraiths, and in fact wraith oil and moon dust seemed to work the same, if not better, on them than the wraiths and wights from his own world.
But these... scars in the fabric of the world weren’t something he could combat. Yrden and dimeritium bombs worked fine on such things in his own world, but they seemed to do absolutely nothing here. Besides, he was out of dimeritium, although he had heard that there were two similar metals in this world that had similar effects. He had been told they were blue and red and emitted an odd musical tone. He had encountered such metals in his travels but had yet to inspect any of it.
One of the spirits, demons, tried to flank him, its body bursting with fire and its voice (if you could call it a voice) screaming in unbridled anger. But it fell just as easily as the others. As it fell, the wound seemed to close slightly. There was still an odd green tinge, but it was calm, no signs of more of these ‘demons’ emerging.
He sat for a moment at a nearby rock, refilling the few potions he still had ingredients for. As he measured the alcohol from the dull-brown bottle, he looked up at the sound of approaching footsteps.
He locked eyes with the stranger for a moment, his cat-like eyes easily betraying the fact that he was no normal man, before returning to his task.

"Sael, I gotta question." Though he probably knew the answer already was going to be a massive no.
"Is it.. Uh... Possible if I could train under ya. As an apprentice?" Though no magic sat in his veins, the willingness and thirst to learn ran stronger.
