There's a funny British movie called "Virtual Sexuality" where a woman is accidentally genderswapped and, well, it's a good movie that I highly recommend. Because its plot would be hilarious with Darcy. Plus it might offer you a nice bit of escapism.

AU where Jake isn't erased and he lives with Chas. He supports his relationship with Justine. He's very naïve and gets into trouble once in a while but Chas is always there to save him. He can't deny he is kinda crushing on Chas but he knows it will never happen. On a movie-night, Justine challenges Chas to kiss Jake. Chas it's like NO, and Jake is focusing on the floor trying not to blush. Justine throws popcorn at Chas, so he grunts and takes Jake's face and kisses him hard. JAKE feels like poop and decides to leave Chas' house that very night. He moves to London and tries to take on a couple of jobs. It's not as easy as he thought, and he struggles adjusting to the less domestic life people lead in the city. He's hired in a few clubs, he's very innocent to understand that people are paying to see him dance and stuff, but it's good money. Chas and Justine feel guilty for losing Jake so they see an internet ad about a pretty boy on a fancy club in London. They know it's Jake. They know what they do in the club. They drive to London and save Jake (again). He's very silent on the way back home. Justine apologises for the kiss, and then asks him if he likes Chas. He nods, embarrassed and Chas is blushing while driving. Justine asks Chas if he likes Jake to which he replies that, yes. He is the only man he has liked. Jake's face lights up and smiles. He feels a lot of things in his chest. They end up in a poly relationship. Bye.
