French newcomer Alma Elste first had me giddily enraptured several months ago with riveting synthpop debut Heart Melter. Now, she returns with her second song, a gorgeous, shimmering electronic pop song named Virtualism. Again, it's a fully luxuriant and heavily intoxicating treat that will envelope you in a wall of swelling sound and warm, romantic emotion, though there are some rather dark moments, too. As before, there are hints of London Grammar evoking resplendence and Lana Del Rey like moodiness in the strongly consuming gem.
