[ 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 ] -- sender reaches out to hold receiver's hand
In a group study session of sorts, the two sit next to each other on Virgo's bed in comfortable silence. Both have a book in hand and a respective drink waiting for them on the nightstand, but are more so just enjoying the other's calm presence in the downtime.
It is uncommon for the either of them to be outside of the noise and vexation brought about by their peers, but they make the time to escape and untense themselves when possible. Saturn tries to savor these moments as best he can.
"You know," S starts to comment, book falling to his lap as his other hand braces him in support of leaning back more casually, "if times like this were the rest of my life, maybe things wouldn't be so bad."
"Like this? Constantly 'aving to prove ourselves and belittled by our teachers and peers...?"
"No, no. I mean, like, sitting here with you. You know... Hanging out. Chatting. Drinking soda and stuff. Like actual teenagers." He turns his head away a bit, using his free hand to rub at the back of his neck shyly.
"Oh," Virgo perks up a bit, then softly lays her hand over her friend's laying on the bed. Saturn turns back towards the contact on his skin, as his face softens and small smile warms his lips while looking towards the redhead once more. "I think I'd like that too..."
His fingers gingerly move towards interlocking with her own as he lays back and invites her to follow suit to be a little closer. "We should go out tonight. Just me and you. Maybe not even come back. You can drive right?" His tone is playful, but he's only half joking.
"Erm.. no, sorry." She giggles a bit, though perhaps wishing more out of the flippant joke.
"Damn. Alright. Another time then. Maybe we can see how many different nocturnal species we can spot or something instead."
Virgo lays her head on Saturn's shoulder. "I don't really mind what. I'd just like spending more time with you."
"Good. That's what I want too."
