“Right!” Miu agreed quickly, visibly shaken and doused with copious amounts of blood that wasn’t her own. She had hardly recognized herself when she passed her reflection, doing her best to hold herself together in front of Jill. “Hey, I just wanna tell you something, though..” The detective swallowed thickly, her anxiety kicking in as the footsteps that followed them grew closer. They could die here or they could escape, but..was this the best place to tell her how much she loved her? That she owed Jill everything? 

“…Well, it can wait. We’ll be alright…” They had to make it.

“–!! Y-you shouldn’t, it’s on me..!!” Miu stuttered for the first time in a long time, bright eyes gazing into the cold, unfeeling abyss of Wesker’s dark shades. She couldn’t read his expression very well and it was a little unnerving. Still, every fiber of her being screamed at her to impress the S.T.A.R.S. captain. 

“…But if you insist..I can’t stop you. At least let me come with you?” The police officer didn’t want to beg, but it’d look bad if she was passing off all the work to someone like him.

Not-doing-too-good sentence starters

Everything was hazy. How much drugs had they pumped into her veins? A voice echoed in her head, making Alice groan and wince as she tried to focus her vision. Things were blurry and bright, making it difficult. Alice’s mouth was drier than sand, her throat sore as she tried to answer. 

“W-Who...?” Who’s there?

“Who said you could come in?” / Rain.

 "Oh- Uh, sorry, I didn’t realize that I had to knock.“

Despite the sarcastic wording, the phrase carried a tone of genuine embarrassment. It hadn’t occurred to her that the room might be off-limits. The rookie was still new to this particular facility, and partly to her surprise, there were a lot of rooms that she wasn’t allowed in.

The moment of confusion dropped her walls, if only for a moment - quickly, an expression of objectivity took it’s place. She had to stay professional, especially around someone like Rain.

 "J.D’s looking for you. He said that something big came up. I don’t know what it is, but it sounded really important, so…”

Wow... perhaps one of the corniest pick up lines he’s heard in quite some time. Still, squeaky laughter spilled from him, Souji holding his sides.  “Nyx oh my god you have got to do better than that!!!”  

Or so he said, but he hung onto the glaive, cheeks bright red and face in his shoulder.  This idiot.    This wonderful idiot.  “...Then I guess that makes us perfect together, huh?? I’m alright with that.

“Come on, then! Hit me!” / Rain @ Safia because why not ?

"That really all you have to fucking say right now!?" Usually, she wouldn't take such obvious bait. This woman acted like fire incarnate and was not to be trifled with. However, Safia has a finite patience and the day had already been a literal nightmare mixed with the constant jabs between the two operatives. She'll end this petty squabble here and now.

Safia bares her teeth as she swings that first hit, putting all of her strength and weight behind it. Even with hand-to-hand being her weakest skill, shes still a trained killer and can pack a punch. Proven in the satisfying thud when her fist connected with Rain's cheek.
