My take on the whole gofundme and visabae situation.
So I can't stop thinking about this blogger who is about to be deported from the UK cos she can't afford to renew her visa. Most people don't understand that "the hustle is real for bloggers". But the truth is that no One is putting a bullet on your head to display flamboyance or any form of fake all-is-well personality. There's nothing wrong in starting from where you are with what you have, yes it might be more difficult to gain followers and attract brands (STORY OF MY HUSTLE) but you have peace of mind, you are not owing anyboy, you can walk around with boldness without hiding when you see a cop or the friend that borrowed you the last shoe for your shoot from (which you haven't returned, please return her shoe ooo). I can't even Begin to narrate my struggle to make it as a pro-blogger, but I'm not about to start buying shit I can't afford just because I want to please my readers and attract brands. As for brands, my motivation is on this note, Like @officiallindaikeji said it, "keep doing your thing, when you make it, they will come begging." Rutendo Tichiwangani, a fashion blogger who has lived in the UK since she was 10 shared an emotional video on her YouTube channel seeking for funds for fears she might be deported to Zimbabwe.
According to her, the UK Home Office has given her until May 6, to re-apply for a visa which will be considered on its own merit.
