Pairing: Ishizu Ishtar x Mai Kujaku Word count: 275 Notes: This is for week FOUR of Yu-Gi-Oh Sapphtember! The prompt was Garden | Shell! I chose shell! Also: Ishizu and Mai's swimsuit refs!
Ishizu had never been to the beach. Not once. She started to wonder if this was a mistake, watching as guys walked by, staring at her. Maybe she should go home–
“Hey, hun. Hope I didn’t keep you waiting.” Ishizu almost cried from relief when she heard Mai’s voice. “Mai… I was starting to have second thoughts…” Ishizu mumbled, hugging Mai, a bit embarrassed, now. Mai chuckled.
“I know. I’m sorry. This bikini was fighting with me, though…” She joked. Mai’s swimsuit really was adorable, though. It was a bikini with blue and white stripes, as well as white ruffles and a big bow on the bikini top, as well as bows on the sides of the bottom.
Ishizu almost felt like Mai was too good for her in that moment. Her bikini was rather conservative, with a coverup skirt as well… But Mai didn’t seem to mind whatsoever.
“You’re beautiful as always, hun,” Mai hummed. Ishizu flushed a little.
“Thank you… So are you.”
Mai set a towel down, sitting on it, and patting for Ishizu to sit beside her.
Ishizu was distracted, though.
“What’s this?” she asked, holding up a whole sand dollar. Mai’s eyes lit up.
“Oh! That’s a sand dollar, dear! They’re a type of seashell. It’s really rare to find whole ones like that, you’re really lucky!”
Ishizu smiled as she sat down with it. Mai wasn’t wrong, she WAS lucky!
She was lucky to have someone like Mai.
She leaned her head on Mai’s shoulder, watching the waves roll in and out. It was nice and rhythmic… She might fall asleep like that… Not that Mai minded at all.
