It was storming but Kaeya barely noticed as he ran into the teeth of it, boots sticking in the mud. No one was out in a storm like this to see him stumblr and catch himself as he’d passed by Springvale, shutters firmly shut on windows. The lights of Mondstadt shone bright in the distance but he’d avoided it, taking a hard turn towards Windrise.
At least the mud on his clothes was how many times he’d stumbled and fallen would hide any signs of the fight.

The massive tree shielded him a little from the rain as he’d taken a seat on the steps but with the wind blowing it sideways it didn’t do much.
