Dottore: I learned some very valuable lessons from this.
Crepus: I’m guessing they are all horrible distortions on the lessons you actually should’ve taken away.

It was storming but Kaeya barely noticed as he ran into the teeth of it, boots sticking in the mud. No one was out in a storm like this to see him stumblr and catch himself as he’d passed by Springvale, shutters firmly shut on windows. The lights of Mondstadt shone bright in the distance but he’d avoided it, taking a hard turn towards Windrise.
At least the mud on his clothes was how many times he’d stumbled and fallen would hide any signs of the fight.
He’d expected anger, had known he deserved it, but hadn’t realize how hot Diluc’s rage would burn. As scorching as his flames that had almost--
That had been a few hours ago that thought had been cut off suddenly, thankfully, when he’d stumbled over the stones sticking out of the ground near the Statue. The massive tree shielded him a little from the rain as he’d taken a seat on the steps but with the wind blowing it sideways it didn’t do much.
Now he sat with his head in his hands, elbows against his knees.

“Is your title just for show or are you actually of any worth around here, Doctor?” Scaramouche is none too pleased that not even Dottore seems to have an answer for him about what could possibly be plaguing him in the night that keeps him from sleep. It’s not that he necessarily needs to sleep in the first place, but there’s a sort of restlessness that comes from being unable to simply rest for a few hours.
“Bear in mind that I’m only wasting my time with you because you’re the one who staked a claim on all of my capabilities.”

A small growl leaves their lips, light azure gaze glaring up at the strange masked man. Eivor is not one to stay still and let someone hurt them in any way - he is no different. They summon their axe, quickly holding it up to his throat as a warning when he got too close. ❝You are a fool to think I would stay still for you.❞ They growl out, clenching the handle of their axe tightly.

"Ah, Acting Grand Master! To what do I owe this pleasure?" Venti gave his usual pleasing smile, though in his mind turned to what trouble he might have stirred up that would cause Jean herself to track him down.
"Is this about the sisters, again? I told them that they can't make me change what songs I'm playing just because they don't like them-"

It had been quite a while since Nix felt pain like this, in fact feeling the pain of a broken limb was the first thing she could recall. Though she had a feeling Baizhu wouldn’t be happy to hear she had re-broken that specific limb. Maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as it felt? She could hope so anyway. It wasn’t as if she had much of a choice after the Ruin Guard woke up without warning. If she left it to wander about, an innocent person could’ve gotten hurt! So, in an attempt to use it’s own weight against it, she used her Shinatobe to try and draw the massive robot into the current in order to send it flying upward. The plan appeared to have a chance of working but the Ruin Guard managed to swing one of its large hands towards her and it connected with one of her arms.
Truthfully, if it wasn’t for Jean arriving when she did then things could’ve gotten a lot worse. In the end, the threat was dealt with but the damage was done. “I think I can move it a little but it hurts too much to keep doing it.. I think it’s broken.”

Feisty is one way to put it when the warrior was given the opportunity to knock the taller down. Eivor held their axe tightly, pointing it down at the stranger with a glare. ❝You lost. Now tell me why you’re here. I will not be so kind next time.❞
They growl out, eyebrows furrowing. While they are used to strangers coming by their camp, this one in particular had a certain air about him that breathed trouble. He seemed as if he was up to no good, and they weren’t about to risk it. Slowly, they move their axe away from the stranger to give him room to stand up. Those icy blue eyes watching him with caution - not once leaving him.
