Oh the sun shines bright on my Old Kentucky Home ♥️🎄 ****** Real talk: after living far from Kentucky for a few years, I cry every time I hear our beautiful state song (yes, even now that I’m back living in the state). The song was written by Stephen Foster about an actual home in Bardstown, KY! At the time, it was called Federal Hill. Today, it’s known as My Old Kentucky Home. The house sits on a state park and is offers daily tours! Mom and I visited during their Merry and Bright Tour and got to see this iconic home decked out with themed Christmas trees inspired by lines in the song and the State itself.
