Rock Creek Road in Bishop, CA, is one of the most beautiful drives along the California Highway 395 route that we enjoyed on our way Home from our Eastern Sierras and Yosemite Trip last month, on October 18, 2022. Rock Creek Road is the highest paved mountain road in California, at over 10,320 feet above sea level! I visited here for my first time ever, earlier this year from April 30 - May 1, 2022 with @blueocean_blueskies, where we enjoyed photographing the clear Milky Way skies together in the snow! Me getting excited over the unplanned road trip to the snowy mountains at Inyo National Forest in Bishop, CA on April 30, 2022! Originally, Christina @blueocean_blueskies and I were planning to dedicate our entire weekend road trip to exploring Alabama Hills, CA. After our first day and night at Alabama Hills, CA, we decided that we wanted to explore the Eastern Sierras some more. I shared with Christina that I have always wanted to photograph a Milky Way Time Lapse at a Lake. Thankfully Christina found this beautiful Lake in Bishop, CA, and we arrived here totally surprised by the sight of snow on the mountains and on the lake! This is one of my favorite still pictures from my Time Lapse. I love this snowy mountain and lakes scenery, as well as how the Milky Way reflected in the lake below!
