Convict Lake in Fall Foliage, is another beautiful Lake that we visited on our way Home from our Eastern Sierras and Yosemite Trip last month, on October 18, 2022. This lake was named Convict Lake, because some Prisoners escaped Jail in Carson City, NV and made their way here, where they got into a shoot out encounter with a Sheriff Police Officer back in September 17, 1871. Since then, there have been Movie Filmings here including Star Trek, and commercials for Nature Valley Granola Bars. Now it had a Resort and many boats in the Marina area. Convict Lake is about 10 miles away from the Mammoth Lakes area. Photographed with my Mom and Cousin Joy.
