VISITORS VICE CHAPTER 3 - BLABERMOUTH
Hans says nothing. The wind rattles through the practice banners below them. Somewhere nearby a horse snorts. And Bartosh, relentless creature that he is, tilts his head and adds: ‘Though for the record, I still think I could make you lose your mind with a single hand.’ Hans almost chokes on air. Bartosh laughs again. ‘You’re a bastard,’ Hans snaps. ‘And yet here you are talking to me.’ ‘Against my fucking will.’ Bartosh pushes off the fence at last. Before leaving, he pauses beside Hans just long enough to murmur something so only Hans can hear it. ‘The offer remains, my lord.’
