CHAPTER 41 - THE LEDGER

Katherine’s lips press together as she carefully steps closer. ‘Hal?’ His hands start shaking harder. ‘I nearly killed him.’ His nails dig into the table. The group stands a little straighter. Zizka crosses his arms, and Hynek grins that terrible grin of his. Henry keeps talking now like he can’t stop once the words begin spilling. ‘I wanted to. God help me, I wanted to.’ His breathing stutters. ‘He kept talking, and I just… I saw red. I couldn’t think.’ ‘You didn’t kill him...right?’ Katherine says gently, her eyes squinted as if not sure what to quite make of the situation. ‘No!’ Henry looks at his bloodied knuckles. ‘So instead I set his bloody curtains on fire.’

The Maleshov reunion is my favourite scene. I often think about Henry's annoyance at Brabant for spoiling the mood

On my 2nd play-through of KCD2 and passing by Bozhena’s hut to start the Find Mutt quest. Im looking through the area where Henry has his hallucinations because im curious about how it looks normally and I was surprised that there wasn’t actually any gate. Like not even ruins it is just not there

Maybe it was obvious to everyone else that the gate wasn’t really there, which mb LMAOO

but i think that it is sweet that when Henry talks about the non-existent gate being closed, Hans tells Henry “Don’t worry, my name will open any gate” as a way to comfort him, like even if he doesn’t know what henry is talking about/doesn’t see it he’s still going to try and make him feel safe in his reality??

Is what im yapping about making sense?? Idk????? Im a bad writer???? Im sure people have already gone over this but let me yap???????

Worm Hans has a little red hood and is attracted to shiny things. He constantly tries to worm his way into the forge.

‘Where are you going?’ Hans asks, trying to keep his voice steady.

Henry hesitates. ‘Nowhere far. Just...’

‘Don’t you dare finish that sentence,’ Hans’s voice sharper now despite the hoarseness. ‘I mean it, Hal. I know what you’re going to say. ‘Someone has to help.’ But not you. Not this time.’

Henry’s shoulders stiffen. ‘People need…’

‘I need,’ Hans interrupts. ‘I need you. Or do I not count in your grand accounting of people worth saving?’

So my tomodachi life experience so far has had Hans try to confess his love to Henry (Hans was smitten so quickly, like damn just like real Hans, I see) however they were interrupted by Katherine and my (irl) partner who all claimed Henry should be theirs! What drama!!

Meanwhile, I moved in with Zizka (as housemates), and my partner is too busy chasing Henry to look my way (my mii is rightfully smitten by my partner but he is infatuated with Henry, apparently)
