         KNIFE SPUN about in her hand, lithe fingers easily maintaining control.  The glint of the blade flashed in a splash of light, seeming free of stains.  Recently cleaned, it didn’t reveal much about its uses, though the fact she had just rammed the HILT into the back of a guy’s head might have spoken some respect as to the purpose it had.  Cat wandered over the guy, glancing down to where he had faceplanted with zero remorse along her features.  Though her p h y s i c a l presence wasn’t much, her aim was impeccable.  Knowing exactly where to land the blow had rewarded her with the knockout.  Green eyes flickered upward to the girl he had been lurking behind, her nose crinkled in curiosity.

                          “Do guys normally follow y’around with guns?”

    “ honestly, if you try giving me a flourish, i might choke. ”        it’s not that she wants to discourage reese from being creative in every circumstance, it’s that she wants to discourage reese from being creative right now, when time is of the essence and they have a sizable problem to solve. this is their usual conversation if she’s honest with herself. she knows they have to go through the song and dance before they get to the serious shit. it used to bug her, but lately she’s gotten used to it -- she kind of even enjoys it.
