Contact Umeå Airsoftförening to join the games: www.facebook.com/UmeaAirsoft Feb 7th 2017, despite being one of the wettest day of the winter, 27 players attended, many for the first time and the newbies beat the regulars twice! I don't think the Swish app (nowadays used for paying for events) had been established, and I don't think we'd set up a Discord channel for the community yet, correct me if I'm wrong. The rules of the game is just grab whatever flag you see regardless of color and bring it home to base. Looking back on it this feels like the early days of hosting games, there are a few issues in this video that can be easily avoided. The objectives were in clear view of the spawn, which led to players shooting out of spawn: Not a problem until someone in spawn gets hit, then what do you do? Solution, move the spawn away from the action. The objectives were returned to spawn: Nothing wrong with that really, but if you designate a different drop off point it will give the players a point to defend, and there will be less firing close to spawn. Bad hit-calling when capturing the objective: This can happen in a lot of games where the objectives are quick to capture. Solution: add a delay to the capture, a button that has to be pressed for a longer amount of time, or make it an area a group of players have to secure for 30 seconds, or make the objectives heavier. I'm not saying anyone broke the rules but there have been improvements to the events over these last 3 years. And with proper preparation situations mentioned can be avoided.
