Unsane - Against the Grain

Some labels that are established by musicians appear to have a slightly different ethos than the vast majority of them. For instance, Mike Patton has a label that only signs their musicians for one album and that’s that. However, this also means Ipecac Records continue to have a diverse collection of records. For instance, Unsane released their Visqueen, which seems like a bit of wasted opportunity to them. Look, they’re intriguing, but they are a type of intriguing, which can turn dull, when hey’re not willing to surprise us by going wild on their intriguing. Yes, they weren’t their best selves on Visqueen, though you can still understand as you listen to the records what made them them. Shame they didn’t go further on that, Patton would’ve let them.

Well, I'm not supposed to post pics of the set, but it looks exactly like this, only you can see the #GreenScreen on the other side of the #ShippingContainer Walls. Luckily, it didn't #rain as much when they decided to #film the scene that takes place on the other side of what you see. Sadly, we had to work in the cold and rain, putting up the 20x20 and 12x12 Green Screens, which we attached, hardware and rope, to the shipping containers.
