On this day in 1969, the Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon. 🌙 And back on Earth, an estimated 600 million people watched this historic moment live on television—roughly one-fifth of the world’s population at that time! The mission had three crew members: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Collins piloted the craft that would return them to Earth, while Armstrong and Aldrin became the first two people ever to walk the Moon’s surface.

The flip side of “All My Loving” is a gorgeous song. The harmonies could make you cry. I don’t ever get tired of listening to the Beatles. I still get chills listening to this song. I did today.

This is the song that officially started my obsession with music. It changed my 7 year old life. I bought the 45. The B side was “This Boy”. I would come home from school and play both songs over and over again. I sang along with the lads from Liverpool at the top of my lungs. My mom had to tell me to stop.
