2015 Photo Memories
Whew, 2015 was fun! Thank you all for your continued support of our American Made emporium. It's so rewarding to be part of the Made In USA movement that is sweeping across our country, scooping up new entrepreneurs and reinvigorating heritage brands. We're thrilled to be in the position of connecting these creative sources with the consumer seeking their quality, style and design. Philadelphia is experiencing a renaissance that we are proud to be a part of. Here's a peek at how things rolled out in 2015...
We are a city of two rivers and January brought bitter cold that froze both the Delaware and the Schuylkill (say it like this: SKOOL-kul, not kill)
February showed us that snow AND ice can be beautiful.
By March though, we've had enough the of the beautiful white stuff....
And we're looking for hope...
Anywhere. Looking for more signs like these, that Spring really does come in March...
Because we are ready to party. We're ready for 'Bloom Philly' and the surest sign that the seasons do change as only The Philadelphia Flower Show's arrival can promise.
Come April, some of us like to go for a run...
...and we always like to welcome the new season with a Trunk Show featuring our favorite brand: Bills Khakis!
...or head to an elegant kick-off party celebrating Rittenhouse Row's Spring Fest. Philadelphia's best Street Fest of the year.
At last, that first weekend in May! Rittenhouse Row's finest stores and restaurants gather to show off what they do best for a one-day party in the street.
June has us out on the sidewalk for our weekly 'Meet & Greet' We bring a little bit of the store to the street to help get to know some of you who walk by everyday wondering 'what's in that beautiful building?'
Plus who doesn't like to get out on these early summer days just to look up and marvel at all that is going on in our fair city!
July is what we are all about! And we celebrate the 4th of July in style with a vintage truck and a Main Street Parade in Moorestown NJ.
August brings lush green evenings and lets us linger at outdoor cafes...
And Philadelphia Magazine crowns its: 'Best of Philly' in August, then showcases the winners with a spectacular party packed with local celebrities dancing the night away in Dilworth Park!
...and while plenty of Philadelphians head 'down the shore' for some heat relief in August, something is brewing this summer like nothing else Philadelphia has ever seen...
September will bring Pope Francis to Philadelphia and with this map that leaked on Twitter the city launches epic preparations.
That last September weekend brought some of the most unique days the city has known. The Pope's visit went off without a hitch and the city sparkled in newspapers and magazines around the globe.
The Scout Guide, a phenomenal print and digital publication was launched in Philadelphia this September. The Scout Guide editors 'scout out' the best of the independent businesses in a community and cross promotes them through their readers and their national network.
October brings us back to the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. The county's largest Regatta with one of the richest races.
Our custom shirt with the course map makes our booth a popular place that (always cold) October weekend!
November brought TV cameras to the store for a special on American Made Matters Day November 19th! Channel 6ABC FYI Philly crew were the best to work with!
We also got to attend 'Skirt's' Grand Opening Party for their new store on 17th Street! We love welcoming newcomers to our Philadelphia community of specialty stores.
And December brings us back to where we started. Grateful for our customers, thankful for a wonderful year full of new friendships and opportunities. We wish your all a joyous new year and look forward to seeing you in 2016!
All the best, Jan & Robert
Anne Marie, Sue and Amy
