“Because I saw your heart”
Sketching ideas for my portfolio project. I’m becoming quite fond of these two (at the moment) nameless characters. My story is set in South China. I’m still doing some research and gathering materials, but so far this is turning out to be an incredible learning experience. Yay art.
Day 4 of #AdventureApril my wizard protag n' cauldron companion travel through the forest - they make a ruckus and wake up a snoozing shroom pal by accident - there is no other choice but to battle it ~ Deleted this post by accident instead of reblogging, ughh
Day 3. of #AdventureApril my wizard protagonist and cauldron companion are walking through a forest - my protagonist thinks it's a good idea to store wild berries inside of his companion's mouth, so later they can make some tasty jam!!
My final for class this semester. Reimagining a fairy tale. As ALWAYS l chose Tarzan.

Today’s portrait painting practice. I’ve been devoting 2 hours to painting and 2 hrs to draftsmanship/anatomy studies a day. The rest of the day is for fun drawing and working lol. I’m pretty sure no one reads this, but if you are- never give up. No matter what happens, no matter what it is you love and how many times you have been rejected, keep your eyes on the stars and never back down. I’m going to work my ass off to improve my work, and one day, I'll have the job that I want. When that day comes, I will do everything in my power to encourage others as so many have done for me.
My vis dev prof, Jim, suggested I do some sci-fi stuff to make myself more viable to potential companies, especially game companies, post graduation. I don’t think he realizes how much I love sci-fi and how much I am into the idea.
I started playing around with an idea I’d had a few years back about some space cops - an idea I plan on working on a lot in the coming months (unless I get lots and lots of work after graduation, ahahahaha).
The biggest thing I’m focusing on is livability of both their environment and clothing. I find a lot of sci-fi focuses too much on wow cool! factors and not enough on the actual reality of living. Characters will have multiple layers to their clothing for different purposes, but also protection from the hazards of space; environments will consider mental health just as much as physical health. And, naturally, because it’s me, plants. Lots of plants. Green spaces are a must, especially in space.
